2010 Icon Award Winners

Bundeswehr Geographic Information Office of the German Federal Armed Forces

For more than two decades, Intergraph has supported the efforts of the Bundeswehr Geographic Information Office (BGIO) of the German Federal Armed Forces, which produces maps, digital geoinformation products and meteorological data for the German Army, Navy and Air Force. Together, Intergraph and BGIO pioneered a new technology which resulted in an advanced, single mapping system that serves both as a repository for housing spatial data and a production engine capable of producing some of the world's most advanced maps.

ConocoPhillips

The third-largest integrated energy company in the United States and the fourth-largest refiner in the world, ConocoPhillips utilized Intergraph's industry-leading enterprise engineering software to develop China's largest offshore oilfield, the Bohai Bay project. An Intergraph customer for more than 10 years, ConocoPhillips continues to work to meet the world's global energy demands in a safe, environmentally and socially responsible manner.

CTCI

A 25-year Intergraph customer, CTCI, Taiwan's largest engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm, employs Intergraph's SmartPlant Enterprise engineering solutions to increase productivity and accelerate schedules for its customers' oil and gas, petrochemical and power projects. From its beginnings as the country's first engineering and construction company more than 30 years ago, CTCI has transitioned into a growing business with a strong global presence.

E-Comm 9-1-1

During the XXI Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, British Columbia, E-Comm 9-1-1, the regional emergency communications center for southwest British Columbia, relied on Intergraph's integrated public safety and security software to successfully protect the athletes, officials and spectators at venues throughout the province. Today, E-Comm 9-1-1 is celebrated for its forward-thinking approach to managing the influx of more than 41,000 calls for emergency response during the games.

QUIP Group

QUIP Group, a leading Brazilian offshore vessel EPC firm, relied on Intergraph's trusted suite of next-generation engineering solutions to help build one of the most advanced offshore oil and gas vessels the world has ever seen: the Petrobras P-53 platform situated in the deep waters of Brazil. The company, which since building the P-53 has gone on to secure several additional projects, is now one of the country's most successful EPCs.

New Zealand Police and New Zealand Fire Service

When the New Zealand Police and New Zealand Fire Service needed the power of a world leader in public safety and security software to help protect the country's more than four million residents, they chose Intergraph. Employing Intergraph's proven public safety and security incident management software, the New Zealand Police and New Zealand Fire Service established a first-of-its-kind, single emergency incident database to span the country's numerous islands and entire national population.

Known around the world for its skill in creating energy opportunities where none were thought possible, global energy and petrochemicals company Shell International Exploration & Production depends on Intergraph to improve operating efficiency and safety while reducing the costs, effort and duration of its large capital projects.
