Intergraph Highlights U. S. Naval Solutions at Intelligent Ship Symposium

Ruggedized Hardware, Software and Support Available Under NAVSEA II Contract

Villanova, Pa., June 1, 2005 – Intergraph Corporation today at the Intelligent Ship Symposium is displaying its intelligent solutions available for purchase by the U. S. Navy through the NAVSEA II contract. During the Intelligent Ship Symposium on the campus of Villanova University, Intergraph will demonstrate its latest innovation in shipboard damage control and digital video surveillance. The Intergraph system includes integrated video cameras, consoles, displays and the “ruggedized” TD-R3010 workstation. This system allows sailors to monitor, via remote-control cameras, damage or intrusions into sensitive areas of the ship, while handling video, audio and alarm systems.

All of the intelligent Naval solutions offered by Intergraph are designed to military specifications. Through the NAVSEA II contract, Intergraph provides hardware, engineering integration, technical support services and shipboard installation.

New Workstation Offers Greater Storage Capacity

The Intelligent Ship Symposium is the first public appearance of the TD-R3010 workstation. The workstation integrates commercial, off-the-shelf technology, field-proven rugged construction and the processor and power necessary for today’s complex software applications. Improvements include easier configuration that allows Navy users to choose their preferred peripherals as well as greater storage capacity, thus saving space by eliminating the number of workstations needed in one area. With its rugged construction, the workstation is designed to endure temperature extremes, resist dust and moisture, keep out saltwater or snow and remain stable in the midst of extreme shock and vibration.

NAVSEA II Supports U. S. Navy’s Smart Ship Program

The NAVSEA II contract, awarded to Intergraph in June 2004 by NAVICP Mechanicsburg, covers engineering hardware systems, supplies and related support services, software, maintenance and training for numerous Department of Defense projects. The NAVSEA II contract is a vehicle supporting the Navy’s Smart Ship program, which aims to improve ship operations, reduce manpower requirements and improve quality of life for service members. By replacing repetitive tasks with technology, the Navy is finding its sailors have more time to enhance combat readiness and sharpen their other professional skills.
