Intergraph Multi-agency Command and Control System on Display at APCO

Interoperable System Serves as Foundational Security Technology for Public Safety Agencies to Rapidly Detect and Respond to Critical Incidents

DENVER, Colo., August 23, 2005 – Intergraph Corporation is highlighting its public safety multi-agency and multi-jurisdictional command and control system at the APCO International 71st Annual Conference and Exposition at the Colorado Convention Center.

During the conference, Intergraph is exhibiting its foundational security technology, which helps safety and security agencies work more closely together to rapidly detect and respond to critical incidents across jurisdictional boundaries and agencies. One of the most efficient ways for agencies to work more closely together is to share incident response and management information. The Intergraph solution provides major incident management, mobile computing access, Web-based access, automated field reporting, records management, video forensics and interoperability when other systems are involved.

“In any emergency, the greatest need for effective response is coordination among agencies,” said Alice Dilbeck, general manager of Public Safety & Government for Intergraph. “Clear, accurate and timely data can reduce and prevent confusion – saving precious time, and more importantly, saving lives. Intergraph is very cognizant of the critical nature of providing such a solution to public safety employees and the citizens they serve.”

At the APCO Conference and Exposition, Intergraph is also demonstrating its interoperability with other leading public safety software providers. Five of these are present in the Intergraph exhibit booth: Advanced Public Safety (APS), BioKey, Deccan, Pictometry and Priority Dispatch. Intergraph has successfully integrated with products from each of these companies to provide greater data and communications interoperability.

“Intergraph continues to work with other best-in-class technology providers to complement our solution and provide an end-to-end command and control system for public safety and security agencies around the world,” Dilbeck said.

Prior to the APCO Conference and Exposition, Intergraph sponsored its Public Safety Users Group annual conference in nearby Westminster, Colo. More than 400 people – with representatives of more than 100 agencies in nine countries – gathered for four days to learn about and discuss the latest advancements in public safety technology.
