Intergraph Hosts Multinational Geospatial Co-production Program Customer Workshop

Participating MGCP Nations Review Applications and Tools Associated with MGCP Workflow

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Oct. 17, 2005 – Intergraph Corporation will host a Multinational Geospatial Co-production Program (MGCP) workshop to follow the MGCP Technical Committee meeting that occurred October 10-14, 2005. MGCP nation representatives, supporting contractors and system integrators will gather in Hoofdorp, The Netherlands, to attend the three-day workshop on October 17, 2005. Attendees will participate in hands-on training of the Intergraph Geo-Intelligence Production System™ (GIPS). The workshop will enable participants to more efficiently collect, validate, maintain and distribute MGCP data to help meet requirements of the program.

The Intergraph GIPS is a comprehensive environment for the collection, validation, management and exchange of feature data to rigorous specifications such as those defined by governing national intelligence agencies. The system is flexible, scaleable, extensible, open and interoperable, allowing for collaboration among military and civilian agencies as well as agency contractors and customers. GIPS facilitates the effective collection of geospatial data and provides tools to ensure that the resulting product meets its intended specification.

“The Intergraph workshop highlights our commitment to and leadership in the MGCP and the members of the program,” said Matt Tate, vice president, business development, Intergraph Security, Government & Infrastructure. “Intergraph’s strong focus on validation and verification throughout the workflow provides an assurance to our MGCP customers of extreme reliability and efficiency when producing deliverables.”
