Intergraph Hosts Global Marine Industry Executive Meeting

First Intergraph Marine Advisory Council held in Shanghai, China

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., November 15, 2006 – Intergraph Corporation (NASDAQ: INGR) today announced the completion of the first Intergraph Marine Advisory Council (IMAC) held in Shanghai, China from 24 – 26 October 2006.

Representatives from major organizations throughout the international marine industry including ship owners, classification societies, shipbuilders, engineering companies and technology providers gathered to discuss how Intergraph technologies impact strategic directions and opportunities in shipbuilding design, construction, operation and maintenance.

“The IMAC meeting provided a forum to discuss the state of the industry and relay the owner/operator viewpoint,” said Stig Romby Nielsen, director, head of Vessel Support, Technical Organization, A.P. Moller - Maersk.  “The reuse of data and closing the gap with 3D product model assimilation will lead to achieving seamless integration between design and operation which is beneficial though acquisition, the operational cycle and platform management. This is achievable based on current technologies.”

“Global work-sharing is a key issue for our organization,” said Christian Schmidt, vice president, head of Design, Odense Steel Shipyard. “Intergraph technologies provide us with capabilities for sharing expert skills between design offices in real time. This transparency is the primary factor enabling better project management using fewer resources, as demonstrated by our recent EMMA* success where we used IntelliShip to harmonize and integrate the various data format of the design centers that contributed.”

Marzio Pierazzuoli, senior vice president, Marine Industry Worldwide for Intergraph added, “Productivity, collaboration, integration and advanced planning are the key drivers confirmed at the IMAC meeting and reflected in our Marine Enterprise solution, which was developed to address the specific needs and requirements of the marine industry. Industry forums like IMAC help to improve business practices and underscore Intergraph’s position as a market-leader in ship-building design software.”
