HUNTSVILLE, AL, April 10, 2005 – Intergraph Corporation <NASDAQ: INGR> today announced that Rosneft, Russia’s leading provider in the fuel and energy sector, has signed a multi-year Software License Agreement to standardize on Intergraph’s SmartPlant Enterprise portfolio of plant engineering, design, information and materials management applications in its more than 40 subsidiaries across the Russian federation.
Rosneft, currently in the process of reconstructing its refining facilities to meet the increasing need for fuel and international technological standards, has chosen Intergraph’s SmartPlant Enterprise to manage its engineering data critical to physical plant assets and integrate this information with other enterprise business and operational systems. The SmartPlant Enterprise will allow Rosneft to integrate numerous applications used to create, capture and maintain information and know-how throughout the plant's life cycle, regardless of changes in the plants and staff.
Valery A. Borisenko, vice president, Rosneft, said, “Rosneft’s management made the decision to standardize on Intergraph’s industry leading information management and design tools in its engineering division, which is distributed throughout the company’s four regions Far East, Siberia, North-West- and Southern European Russia. This decision was driven by a growing number of Rosneft capital projects. After evaluation of competitive products, Rosneft selected Intergraph’s SmartPlant Enterprise because of its superior productivity and functionality as well as Intergraph’s long local presence and proven reputation in Russia.”
