HUNTSVILLE, Ala., May 18, 2006 – Intergraph Corporation <NASDAQ: INGR> today announced the Cartographic Institute of Catalonia (ICC), Barcelona, Spain, has purchased a second Intergraph Z/I Imaging DMC® (Digital Mapping Camera) system. ICC’s satisfaction with its first DMC purchase in late 2004 has prompted the purchase of a second camera.
ICC, the first organization in Europe to own two Intergraph DMC systems, will use its second camera to extend its existing digital cartographic production projects and provide shorter and higher-quality image production cycles, effectively shutting down its analog production line.
“Our first Intergraph Z/I Imaging DMC allowed us to save time associated with analog imagery processes,” said José-Luis Colomer, technical vice director, ICC. “With the purchase of a second Intergraph DMC, we are able to completely close the analog camera film production line and enter a new era of superior image delivery – providing our customers with unmatched image precision and resolution.”
Gadi BenMark, general manager, Intergraph Transportation and Photogrammetry, said, “ICC’s success with its digital imagery production reflects the Intergraph DMC’s strength and flexibility in providing unmatched image quality, clarity and resolution. The company’s purchase of a second camera reflects the growing demand for high-quality, digital cameras for full digital end-to-end production workflows – leaving behind the costs and time resources required with analog imagery processes.”
