Intergraph Announces SmartPlant® for Operations and Maintenance

Multi-Discipline Plant Engineering Management Package Enhances SmartPlant Enterprise

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., June 12, 2006 – Building on the continued success of SmartPlant Enterprise, Intergraph Corporation <NASDAQ: INGR> today announced its plan to release a new SmartPlant offering for operations and maintenance.

Traditionally, integration between the engineering technical services at a plant and operations or maintenance has been ad-hoc at best, even nonexistent in many cases.  Applications like SmartPlant Instrumentation have solidified that integration in the instrumentation domain, resulting in reduced costs in engineering as well as operations and maintenance through better information access and management.  The SmartPlant offering for operations and maintenance can expand these proven benefits across the rest of the asset domains, including 3D models, isometrics and piping, P&ID diagrams, electrical schematics, equipment, plot plans, underground piping, et al.  Integration with popular ERP/maintenance, digital control systems (DCS), reliability systems and others can provide simple, flexible information access for all plant personnel via applications they are already trained on and accustomed to.

SmartPlant for operations and maintenance can provide robust tools for multiple in–house project execution, associated change management processes, research and troubleshooting. Users can leverage existing investments in SAP NetWeaver and xApp integration technology, which facilitates efficient and thorough handover of change management engineering information.

“Over the years, many leading Engineering /Procurement /Construction Companies (EPCs) and Owner/Operators have chosen SmartPlant Enterprise solutions to satisfy their specific plant engineering and improve plant performance. We are committed to continue providing customers with innovative technology – like this new SmartPlant offering for operations and maintenance -- that adds value to their legacy systems by providing access to accurate, change management engineering information,” said Gerhard Sallinger, president, Intergraph Process, Power & Marine.
