Dung Quat Refinery Selects Intergraph for Plant Design & Operations

SmartPlant Enterprise Will Manage Entire Life Cycle of Vietnam's First Petroleum Refinery

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., June 13, 2006 -- Intergraph Corporation <NASDAQ: INGR> today announced Dung Quat Refinery, Vietnam’s first petroleum refinery, has selected SmartPlant Enterprise as its standard software for management of plant design, maintenance and operations of the plant.

Scheduled to commence operations in early 2009, the Dung Quat Refinery is under construction by a consortium of Engineering/Procurement/Construction (EPC) companies including Technip, JGC Corporation, and Technicas Reundias. These organizations are leveraging Intergraph’s proven plant engineering and design solutions to ensure long-term operational value for the refinery. The facility is designed to have an annual processing capacity of 6.5 million tons of crude oil, or 130,000 barrels per day and encompasses a refinery, product tank farm, marine loading facilities, single-point mooring and seawater intake and outfall facilities.

“We have partnered with Intergraph because we are confident that its proven technology will support the Dung Quat Refinery not only throughout the planning and construction phases, but for the next 30 to 40 years in operation,” stated Mr. Nguyen Dang Kien, Deputy General Director, Dung Quat Refinery Project Management Board. “SmartPlant Enterprise offers the capability to manage the documentation and data for the entire life cycle of the plant, and it will enable a smoother transition from design to active operations.”

Dung Quat Refinery is consolidating data from the engineering contractors for which SmartPlant Enterprise provides a portfolio of intelligent engineering applications to manage and utilize this data.

“SmartPlant Enterprise was designed to empower owner/operators and EPCs to be successful in building and maintaining large plants such as the Dung Quat Refinery,” added Mr. Gerhard Sallinger, President, Intergraph, Process, Power & Marine. “We are proud that Intergraph solutions were selected to provide operational support throughout the life cycle of this refinery; it underscores our vision, as many of the world’s leading petroleum organizations recognize the benefits of our integrated solutions to manage their facilities.”

Vietnam has 600 million barrels of proven oil reserves and exploration continues to lead to additional resources. Completion of the Dung Quat Refinery, located in the center of the country, should lead to greater interaction between the Northern, Southern, and Central regions of the country. Additionally, the Dung Quat Refinery will facilitate export to international markets including the United States, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea.
