HUNTSVILLE, Ala., April 10, 2007 - Intergraph Corporation, a leading global provider of spatial information management (SIM) software, has acquired the software operations and related assets of GISquadrat AG. GISquadrat is based in Vienna, Austria and provides geospatial software and services to more than 200 local government and utility customers in Austria, Germany, Croatia and Hungary. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

GISquadrat has been an Intergraph partner since 1993 and has more than 15 years of experience in delivering innovative solutions to its European customer base. The combined organization will continue to support GISquadrat’s portfolio of geospatial software products and will leverage GISquadrat’s technology to enhance Intergraph’s existing geospatial solutions. GISquadrat’s Respublica software suite enables local government and utility customers to more effectively create, manage and utilize their geospatial data, which is critical to the workflows of their operations.
