Intergraph® Foundation Supports China Earthquake Relief

Donation and employee matching to assist American Red Cross China Earthquake Relief Fund

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., June 03, 2008 – The Intergraph® Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Intergraph Corp., will provide a $25,000 donation and match additional employee contributions to the American Red Cross China Earthquake Relief Fund to aid survivors and relief efforts of the devastating May 12 earthquake.

Intergraph, which operates in 60 countries and maintains offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, is providing financial support through its foundation to the American Red Cross for its emergency relief efforts to help those affected by the earthquake. The Red Cross will use the funds to provide relief supplies, mobilize relief workers and provide financial resources. 

"We are deeply saddened by the enormity of this disaster that has affected the entire nation of China," said Intergraph President and Chief Executive Officer R. Halsey Wise.  "Through the foundation’s support of leading international aid organizations, we hope to provide assistance to the survivors and help them as they endeavor to rebuild their lives and communities."

The American Red Cross is working with its partners in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, including the Red Cross Society of China, and other partners to assist those affected by the earthquake in Sichuan province in southwestern China that has killed more than 60,000 people and left more than five million homeless.

The Intergraph Foundation demonstrates the culture of Intergraph and the passion of its people to make a difference in the world through assistance in tragedies such as Hurricane Katrina as well as its on-going commitment to cancer research and awareness programs.
