Intergraph® and Leica Geosystems at ASPRS 2012

Hexagon Companies Present Hardware and Software Components of the Dynamic GIS, the Future of the Geospatial Industry

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., March 15, 2012 — Hexagon companies Intergraph® and Leica Geosystems will be participating in the upcoming American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) 2012 conference at the Sacramento Convention Center in Sacramento, California, on March 19-23.

In keeping with this year's conference theme, "Imaging and Geospatial Technologies – Into the Future," Intergraph and Leica Geosystems will present their vision of the future of the geospatial industry – the Dynamic GIS. The Dynamic GIS integrates interoperable hardware and software solutions into a streamlined workflow that addresses all steps of the geospatial value chain. On the exhibition floor in Booth # 405, Intergraph and Leica Geosystems will showcase these solutions together. Leica Geosystems will display all its hardware offerings, including a standalone RCD30 system. In the same booth, Intergraph Geospatial, the direct product sales division of Intergraph Security, Government & Infrastructure (SG&I), will provide live demonstrations of Intergraph software products.

"Intergraph's geospatial portfolio has come together in a very solid, practical way in recent months, resulting in the rich set of products and workflows Intergraph will share at ASPRS," said Mladen Stojic, Vice President – Geospatial, Intergraph. "We're looking forward to introducing the fruits of our labor to one of our most technical user communities, allowing them to experience the Dynamic GIS with its various components and visualize its potential applications within their organizations."

ASPRS attendees will especially appreciate the expanded photogrammetry lineup, featuring products tailored to the variety of specific needs within this community. ImageStation® is designed for commercial photogrammetry or production mapping customers who need to rapidly georeference or orthorectify massive volumes of spatial data. LPS is ideal for users who perform photogrammetric tasks as part of a larger, cohesive remote sensing workflow. For users who want to work within their GIS or CAD products, Intergraph offers Stereo Analyst for ArcGIS, PRO600 Fundamentals, and ImageStation Stereo for GeoMedia®. In addition, Intergraph will also demonstrate GIS management and analysis in GeoMedia, remote sensing imagery analysis and processing in ERDAS IMAGINE® and data management and delivery in ERDAS APOLLO.

Intergraph and Leica are also involved in a variety of other productions at ASPRS 2012. They will host a joint Geospatial Users' Group Meeting to formally present and demonstrate the Dynamic GIS and its associated hardware and software on Tuesday, March 20, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Room #306 of the convention center. During the technical sessions, Intergraph scientists and engineers will present papers detailing Intergraph's cutting-edge development efforts, emphasizing geospatial modeling, cloud computing for point cloud editing, object-oriented change detection and object classification using empirical distribution analysis (EDA). Finally, to provide a well-deserved social intermission, Intergraph and Leica Geosystems will entertain guests at the Hexagon Companies Reception in the Golden State Room of Hyatt Sacramento on Wednesday, March 21, at 7:00 p.m.

Continues Stojic, "Not only does ASPRS provide an important opportunity for us to highlight our developments and innovation, but it also enables us to meet and interact with a valued technical community, providing a vital tool for us to guide technology into the future."
