Intergraph® Announces that ERDAS IMAGINE 2013 Features New Toolset for Handling Point Clouds


New viewing technology allows simultaneous views of point clouds in 2D and 3D

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. , Oct. 9, 2012 -- Intergraph® announces that the upcoming release of ERDAS IMAGINE will include dynamic tools that will enable users to more thoroughly visualize, analyze and manage their point clouds.

ERDAS IMAGINE combines advanced remote sensing with spatial modeling to create new information. As part of the comprehensive Intergraph Geospatial 2013 release, ERDAS IMAGINE 2013 will offer a new viewing technology to simultaneously view point clouds in 2D and 3D. This new viewing technology also supports a user-specified profile that can reveal cross sections of the point cloud. ERDAS IMAGINE 2013 also includes new tools to classify, subset and filter point data, as well as allow users to RGB encode the data.
