GeoMedia® 2013 Features Modern User Experience

As part of the Intergraph® Geospatial 2013 release, GeoMedia provides a fresh, new interface, providing greater accessibility to all geospatial resources

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Oct. 16, 2012 — Intergraph® introduces GeoMedia® 2013 with a newly designed, modern user interface that logically organizes functionality in a ribbon control. This fresh approach provides greater visibility for frequently used GIS tools, while aesthetically and logically organizing functionality.

As part of Intergraph Geospatial 2013, GeoMedia 2013 also features lightning-fast display performance, and new features to simplify workflows. Improved map labeling makes it easier to position labels and create dynamic labels that quickly reposition themselves when users pan or zoom. In addition, the new ERDAS APOLLO catalog explorer provides access to repositories of unstructured raster and image files from the map window. Users will have the option of using the classic interface as they transition to the ribbon interface.

"GeoMedia is a powerful GIS management package that enables users to realize the maximum value of their geospatial resources – integrating them to present clear, actionable information," said Mladen Stojic, Vice President – Geospatial, Intergraph. "In GeoMedia 2013, users will be able to seamlessly group tools in a ribbon control that is highly intuitive and effective."

Intergraph is launching Intergraph Geospatial 2013 later this year. The united portfolio includes new releases of GeoMedia, ERDAS IMAGINE, LPS, ImageStation, ERDAS APOLLO, GeoMedia Smart Client, GeoMedia Web Map, Geospatial Portal, and Geospatial SDI. In this modern and dynamic release, users will be able to discover and exploit the wealth of information contained in data from any source, share it rapidly (and securely), and deliver it on demand as reliable and actionable information to drive smarter decisions.
