ERDAS IMAGINE® 2013 Features Next-Generation Spatial Modeler

As part of the Intergraph® Geospatial 2013 release, ERDAS IMAGINE provides next-generation spatial modeler with a modern interface for real-time preview of results

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Oct. 23, 2012 — Intergraph® announces that ERDAS IMAGINE® 2013 will include a next-generation spatial modeler that features an all-new, modern interface and provides real-time preview of results. Offering greater flexibility and efficiencies, this new approach will significantly enhance core spatial modeling capabilities.

In addition to the ERDAS IMAGINE raster operators, the new spatial modeler will incorporate GeoMedia vector and grid operators to greatly extend the problem-solving capability. With the ability to incorporate operators from other software, the new Python scripting will also allow users to extend the utility of the modeler, providing greater flexibility.

As part of Intergraph Geospatial 2013, ERDAS IMAGINE 2013 will provide the most advanced remote sensing analysis and spatial modeling capabilities – allowing users to visualize their results in 2D, 3D, movies, and on cartographic-quality map compositions.

"ERDAS IMAGINE is engineered to seamlessly scale with users' production needs, allowing organizations to better visualize high-volumes of data for effective decision making," said Mladen Stojic, Vice President – Geospatial, Intergraph. "With ERDAS IMAGINE 2013, users can more efficiently preview this data through a more sophisticated and modern interface, which will make visualizing data much easier."

Intergraph is launching Intergraph Geospatial 2013 later this year. The united portfolio includes new releases of GeoMedia, ERDAS IMAGINE, LPS, ImageStation, ERDAS APOLLO, GeoMedia Smart Client, GeoMedia Web Map, Geospatial Portal, and Geospatial SDI. In this modern and dynamic release, users will be able to discover and exploit the wealth of information contained in data from any source, share it rapidly (and securely), and deliver it on demand as reliable and actionable information to drive smarter decisions.
