MELBOURNE, Australia, August 7, 2014 --
Intergraph®, the leading global provider of engineering software, has announced that its PP&M Global 2014 User Conferences series will visit Brisbane on 26 August and Perth on 28 August.
Built on the theme of “Learn, Grow, Connect”, Intergraph PP&M Australia 2014 provides those working on mining and energy projects with a genuine opportunity to connect with the industry’s experts, learn about the latest engineering developments and leverage best practices from other companies.
Intergraph PP&M 2014 features a keynote presentation by experts from Leica and Accenture, who will discuss digitising a large brownfield plant – a hot topic for Australia’s mining and energy industries. Intergraph Executive Vice President of PP&M Asia-Pacific, Franz Kufner will present an outlook for energy in the region, discussing the drivers and emerging trends, as well as customer success stories.
Several Intergraph technical specialists will address issues such as harnessing the power of smart engineering to secure an advantage in the global market, and the future of enterprise information management.
“This is a critical time for the Australian mining and energy industries, and our Australian conferences will provide us with the opportunity to discuss the emerging trends that we expect to be hot buttons in the coming months and years, such as the application of cloud technologies and brownfield modernisation,” said Kufner. “Australia remains a key market for Intergraph in Asia-Pacific.”
More than 2,000 delegates from Asia-Pacific are expected to attend the conference series, which has already visited Japan, Thailand and China. After Australia, the series will continue to South Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia, before heading to destinations in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The conferences are sponsored by Intergraph Process, Power & Marine, which has more than 30 years’ experience in providing local expertise and services to support engineering, procurement and construction companies and owner-operators executing projects and operating facilities in Australia, delivering enhanced safety, quality, interoperability and productivity. More than two-thirds of the plants built worldwide are designed using Intergraph software.
