Intergraph Improves Fort Bragg’s Day-to-Day Operations

Fort Bragg is not only planning ahead 15, 20, and 25 years from now, they are also making changes to ensure their installation is sustainable well into the future. In order to continually improve warfighter readiness and provide better customer support, Fort Bragg partnered with Intergraph to integrate long-term process improvements to better manage the installation’s day-to-day operations.

Following a proven approach and methodology, Intergraph worked with Fort Bragg on a number or life-cycle improvement efforts that support soldier training and enable readiness.

  • Reengineered Fort Bragg Endangered Species Branch’s processes to ensure the recovery and protection of the rare red-cockaded woodpecker
  • Decreased the backlog of service orders through an integrated scheduling system, thus improving customer satisfaction and increasing maintenance efficiency
  • Automated the Fort Bragg Public Works Business Center’s Service Contracts Office’s custodial inspection processes, saving time and increasing performance
  • Developed an automated wildlife management system that significantly reduces the setup, administration, and processing time associated with hunting procedures at Fort Bragg
  • Reduced the Fort Bragg Wildlife Branch's permit application time by 60 percent and increased permit sales through an automated database
  • Created the Fort Bragg Natural Resources Division's new map creation wizard, allowing users to view and print maps easily
  • Helped the Fort Bragg Natural Resource Division better manage their prescribed and spontaneous wildfires using an integrated, automated database that eliminates manual recordings and provides daily and accurate updates
  • Developed an easy-to-use time tracking system that improved project planning and management capabilities by accurately tracking and reporting employee project labor through a streamlined time tracking system
  • Created a simple, efficient interface to facilitate a more precise tree maintenance data collection system, reducing labor-intensive processes during endangered species recovery
  • Developed a more efficient billing system for the Fort Bragg Public Works Business Center to streamline data collection and processing  Automated service inspection processes, helping eliminate Fort Bragg’s manual data processing and producing a savings of two person-weeks in labor per month
