Learn, Grow, Connect at the Intergraph® PP&M 2014 User Conference

Cloud computing, brownfield plant modernization, integration, globalization of engineering projects and collaboration fill a comprehensive program

YOKOHAMA, Japan, July 8, 2014 – Intergraph®, the leading global provider of engineering software, opens its annual user conferences, Intergraph PP&M Asia-Pacific 2014, today in Yokohama, Japan. To be attended by more than 2,000 delegates from the region’s process, power and marine engineering sectors, the series continues to ten cities across Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Australia, Korea, Singapore and Indonesia.

Built on the theme of "Learn, Grow, Connect", Intergraph PP&M Japan 2014 provides engineering customers with a unique opportunity to connect with the industry’s experts, learn about the latest engineering developments and leverage best practices from other companies.

Intergraph PP&M 2014 features keynote sessions by customers Toyo Engineering, Chiyoda and JGC, and the Institute of JUSE (I-JUSE). Intergraph’s Executive Vice President of PP&M Asia-Pacific, Franz Kufner, will present an outlook for energy in the region, talking about the drivers and emerging technology trends. Several Intergraph technical specialists will address issues such as digitizing a large brownfield plant, exploiting the value of the digital plant asset, and securing advantage in a global market from the power of smart engineering. The comprehensive program also covers cloud computing, integration and collaboration.

"Japan is a strategically important market for both Intergraph PP&M and for the global economy. Being home to some of the world’s largest engineering companies Japan is of vital importance to our Asia Pacific business and for the future of the energy sector in general," said Kufner. "We are excited to be sharing our perspective on emerging industry trends while we are here, including cloud technologies and brownfield modernization. We also look forward to our continued partnership with owner operators and engineering firms in Japan."

The conferences are held by Intergraph’s Process, Power & Marine (PP&M) division that for over 30 years has provided local expertise and services to support engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies and owner operators (O/Os) executing projects and operating facilities in Japan, delivering enhanced safety, quality, interoperability and productivity.
