Cortex Engineering Software Pty Ltd Announces Partnership with Global Survey in New Zealand

MELBOURNE, Australia, Oct. 8, 2013 –Cortex Engineering Software Pty Ltd, a Melbourne-based provider of best-in-class engineering software products, is pleased to announce that it has signed a reseller agreement with Global Survey Ltd in New Zealand to distribute and support Intergraph® CADWorx® & Analysis Solutions (CAS) products for plant and piping design.

Global Survey has been an agent of Leica Geosystems since 1992. Intergraph and Leica Geosystems are both part of Hexagon, a leading global provider of design, measurement and visualisation technologies. This partnership with Cortex Engineering Software gives Global Survey greater access to the Hexagon portfolio, enabling it to offer the full range of Intergraph CAS products that can be integrated with Leica Geosytems laser scanning technology. Plant designers and engineers can easily capture as-built data, which can be rapidly converted into an intelligent 3D representation to generate accurate and consistent deliverables, resulting in more efficient and effective asset management.

"We have held a leading position in the surveying and construction markets in New Zealand, and this agreement will further strengthen our market leadership, particularly in the engineering and construction sectors," said Bruce Robinson, director and survey manager at Global Survey. "With the comprehensive range of Intergraph CAS products, we can offer more benefits to our customers from the integration of laser scanning, 3D design, and analysis solutions."

Gary MacLeod, managing director of Cortex Engineering Software, said, "As Intergraph’s Global Network Partner, we are pleased to bring Global Survey on board as a new reseller of Intergraph’s CAS products. In collaboration with Intergraph, this new partnership will strengthen our presence in New Zealand, delivering the innovative Hexagon portfolio for local engineering projects and helping to optimize the information management of existing assets."

Intergraph CAS is part of Intergraph’s Process, Power & Marine division, ranked as the No. 1 overall worldwide provider of engineering design solutions for industry, according to the ARC Advisory Group. The Intergraph CAS products allow design and engineering to share relevant information seamlessly, thereby maintaining accuracy and improving efficiency. They include CADWorx Plant Design Suite for AutoCAD®-based intelligent plant design modelling, process schematics and automatic production of plant design deliverables; CAESAR II®, the world's most widely used pipe stress analysis software; PV Elite® for vessel and exchanger design and analysis; and TANK™ for the design and analysis of oil storage tanks.
