Through the reseller agreement, GURA will offer owner operators and fabricators Intergraph SmartPlant Fusion and SmartPlant Spoolgen Plus as well as provide specialized services and support to implement and configure CADWorx and other systems for project delivery, project handover and acquisitions. GURA’s partnership with Intergraph, combined with their in depth industry knowledge and specific expertise in brownfields, data management and fabrication, will benefit these organistions by assisting to extract maximum value out of their assets.

"In these changing times, many companies have turned their attention from expansion to focussing on maximizing the throughput of their current assets. Our experience with Intergraph’s solutions is that they are ideally suited to address the complex issues owner operators experience as they try to achieve greater levels of productivity. Owner operators have two assets, the physical asset and the digital asset which contains all of the relevant engineering data of the physical facility. The digital asset is a crucial but often an undervalued part of any facility, and it is here where Intergraph provides solutions for the efficient management of the entire lifecycle of the facility," said Anthony Barraclough, technical manager at GURA.

Greg Rohde, Intergraph PP&M vice president of Australia, said, "Australian owner operators and fabricators will benefit greatly from the combination of GURA’s expertise combined with our solutions for gathering, intelligently converting and managing engineering data. We are pleased to form this partnership with GURA and see it as part of our ongoing commitment to our customers. It will further help owners enhance safety, improve quality and boost productivity across their facility’s life cycle."

SmartPlant Fusion is designed to rapidly capture, organize and make large volumes of previously unstructured information available through a simple web portal interface in a highly organized and intuitive manner. The types of unstructured information include documents, drawings, lists and sheets, 3D models and even laser scan images and high-resolution photography. SmartPlant Fusion is the fastest and smartest way to make documents and drawings available for decision support. It enables intuitive navigation with an accurate representation of the way things are really connected, making unintelligent information smart.

SmartPlant Spoolgen is a proven, industrial-strength application that enables the creation of piping isometric drawings for fabrication and erection from the design created during the detail engineering phase of projects. Customers quote tenfold productivity gains and the elimination of 95 percent of manual data entry. SmartPlant Spoolgen Plus starts with SmartPlant Spoolgen and adds integrated modules for management of piping data (including pipe supports), weld tracking and documentation, progress management and reporting, and quality assurance documentation.

The ARC Advisory Group, a leading industry analyst firm, ranked Intergraph as the No. 1 overall worldwide provider of engineering design solutions for industry according to its "Engineering Design Tools for Industry and Infrastructure Worldwide Outlook Market Analysis and Forecast Through 2016."
