DIVISION SUMMARY

Intergraph’s Security, Government & Infrastructure (SG&I) division provides integration services that drive management of asset, outage, operations, security and emergency management. Our core industries and markets included public safety - emergency and non-emergency, utilities – electricity, water, gas and telecommunications, intelligence and military, and State and Local Government.

Position Summary/Purpose:

This position will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and support of industry solutions for the Intergraph Utilities & Communication suite of products including GeoMedia, G/Technology, InService, Mobile Workforce Management, and etc. The position will be required to extend the existing software applications through new feature implementation and product customization based on the market needs. 

Main Activities:

  • Size the scope and estimate the effort to develop, test & deliver a software component, based on customer requirements
  • Detail & document software design based on software requirement specifications
  • Debug the reported problems and suggest/implement a solution to fix it.
  • Actively interact with planning and functional-design teams in understanding the requirement specifications

QUALIFICATIONS and Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in development and maintenance of software products – preferably GIS and/or utilities & communication applications
  • Proven experience in desktop and/or Web application software development using Microsoft Visual Studio and/or Java based working environment
  • Proven experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server database
  • Preferential consideration will be given to resources with exposure and specific experience with Silverlight and User Interface best-practice paradigms
  • Proven working experience of project management is a plus
  • Work experience in the utility industry is a plus
  • Work experience in a multi-national company and experience in working with offshore teams, especially from English speaking countries is a plus

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficient with Visual C#. Net, C++ .NET, ASP .NET, VB, JavaScript, XML, J2EE
  • Proficient with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programming knowledge
  • Knowledge of GIS and/or mobile GIS domain/application(s) is preferable
  • Good communication in English (verbal and written)
  • Excellent team orientation
  • Good self-training ability, and interest in new technology

Education quatifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in any Computer Science or any Engineering discipline.
  • Bachelor degree in Mathematics and/or any Sciences with GIS major can also apply
  • Master Degree or an advanced certification is preferred
