One source for integrated infrastructure management and operational support systems

Intergraph serves as THE source for infrastructure management and integrated operational support solutions for the electric, gas, water, pipeline, utility, and communications industries. We provide you with a suite of industry specific solutions to address work design, network asset management, outage management, and integrated mobile work force management. The foundation component for our solutions is a comprehensive, enterprise-capable, network asset infrastructure management platform that houses a connected data model of the entire energy network or communications infrastructure. Intergraph solutions are based on open, scalable products optimized for interactive graphic performance, ease of integration and the enterprise data integrity needs of both large and small information systems environments.

  • Electric Infrastructure Management - Intergraph’s electric infrastructure management (EIM) supports records management for the principal assets of a utility - the transmission and distribution facilities. Most utilities spend a lot of time and money building and maintaining these valuable assets, so it’s important to keep records current and accurate. EIM reduces the cost of maintaining these records, which are stored in a database and easily available for a variety of applications. The EIM solution can help you improve design and asset management productivity by more than 50 percent. More importantly, it helps engineers, planners, designers, dispatchers, accountants, and crews do a better job of utilizing and managing the facilities.
  • Gas Infrastructure Management - The cost of maintaining a utility company’s key assets - transmission and distribution facilities - represents a significant portion of their annual operating budgets. Most utilities allocate considerable resources to keeping their records current and accurate. Intergraph’s gas infrastructure management (GIM) solutions enable utility companies to efficiently manage and record their principal gas infrastructure assets, while reducing the cost of maintaining these records by storing them in a central database. This makes this information readily available for a variety of applications, potentially improving design and asset management productivity by more than 50 percent.
  • Pipeline Infrastructure Management - The cost of maintaining a utility company’s key assets - transmission and distribution facilities - represents a significant portion of their annual operating budgets. Most utilities allocate considerable resources to keeping their records current and accurate. Intergraph’s pipeline infrastructure management (PIM) solutions enable pipeline companies to efficiently manage and record their principal pipeline infrastructure assets, while reducing the cost of maintaining these records by storing them in a central database. This makes this information readily available for a variety of applications, potentially improving design and asset management productivity by more than 50 percent.
  • Water Infrastructure Management - Water infrastructure management (WIM) is an Intergraph software solution that supports all the details of a municipal or private water and wastewater distribution system. With it, you can plan, conduct engineering analysis, design work orders, and manage mapping, asset, and maintenance records. The fundamental feature of WIM is a geospatial network asset database of the distribution assets of the system, such as water mains and sewers, storage reservoirs, pumps, pipelines, valves, and meters. The WIM solution can improve design and asset management productivity by more than 50 percent. More importantly, it helps engineers, planners, designers, dispatchers, accountants, and crews do a better job of utilizing and managing the facilities.
  • The "SmartGrid" and Integrated Outage Management Solutions - Prompt power restoration following a storm or other type of outage is the hallmark of utility customer service. Intergraph’s electric and gas outage management solutions help utility personnel, both dispatchers and field crews, quickly identify the cause of an outage and efficiently assign and coordinate the necessary resources to restore power or other services as quickly as possible. Our outage management solutions are “SmartGrid” enabled and provide a unique geospatial common operational display shared by both dispatchers and field personnel using mobile devices, allowing optimum coordination between dispatcher and crews. Through our solutions, customers have reduced service restoration times by as much as 33 percent and have demonstrated payback in one to three years.
  • Mobile Workforce Management - For the typical utility company, two-thirds of total employees are field-based. This makes the automation of field personnel and the extension of critical business applications to remote users a key opportunity for productivity improvement and cost reduction. Intergraph’s mobile workforce automation solution can improve crew productivity by up to 10 percent, supporting both the distribution of GIS data and linking field personnel with back office information systems on one mobile platform. Typical applications include field design, inspection, and short-cycle work order routing and scheduling. When used in conjunction with Intergraph’s outage management systems, our mobile solution provides integrated restoration circuit map displays and automatically coordinates, dispatches and reports the status of field crews during storm restoration processes, further improving utility customer service levels.
