What will the course cover?
The course teaches how to generate P&ID's for a plant and how to place and manipulate all items in the equipment, piping and instrumentation disciplines. Students will learn the operating procedure for the "Propagation" process. The Propagation process transfers data from the P&ID to the database. Propagation also performs consistency design checks, reports on errors, and graphically locates errors. This course covers element and fence manipulation commands.
Methods to increase productivity are covered, including copying graphics from other P&ID drawings and assembly placement. Students learn how to generate line lists, MTOs, and other various reports from the database. The course will also cover the PFD package.

Who should attend?
This course is designed for the P&ID draughting personnel/engineers who will be generating P&ID's using the PDS P&ID software. Intergraph recommends that draughting group leaders also attend.
