SmartPlant® Engineering & Schematics offers the solution for the process engineer to lay out the plant configuration in SmartPlant P&ID. This forms the basis for the detailed design in SmartPlant Instrumentation by the instrument engineers and designers, and for the power distribution system by the electrical engineers. In addition, the P&ID will drive the physical 3D plant design by the piping department. Also, power plants are designed with several packaged units that need to be configured as a single consistent design in compliance with very strict safety rules and provisions to avoid outages. SmartPlant Engineering & Schematics also offers the information to support maintenance and turnaround planning because downtimes can be extremely costly for the owners.
