The Concepts of SmartPlant Foundation and Schema Modeling course is prerequisite training in the Process, Power, and Marine series of classes for selected SPF (SmartPlant Foundation) and VTL (Validation, Transformation and Loading) training courses. This course provides an introduction and understanding of some basic SPF usage needed for an understanding of follow-on classes as well as meta-schema and schema data dictionary concepts. The class gives an introduction to the SmartPlant Schema definitions and a working knowledge of the Schema Editor. This training also illustrates the concepts necessary to extend delivered non-integrated data models to include custom properties and relationships in SPF. The steps to load the modified schema into the SPF database are also covered. The class is presented as a combination of lecture sessions followed by hands-on activity periods, and is taught from the perspective of the follow-on class.
Note: This course is NOT a replacement for the SmartPlant Foundation Modeling and Mapping (TSPE3242) training class.
SmartPlant Foundation Modeling and Mapping training is required for an integrated SmartPlant Enterprise configuration.
